A pay as you feel evening of live poetry and music performance, curated by Nabeela Ahmed – Writer-in-Residence at The People Powered Press. A celebration of music and spoken word, and the launch of a new giant letterpress mural created as part of OUR TURN.

The evening also features the opportunity to hand-print some lines of poetry and lyrics on the People Powered Press's – exclusive A3 letterpress prints to take away and keep, signed by you and the artists.

About the Artists

Nabeela Ahmed is a writer, multilingual poet and spoken word artist. Her debut poetry collection, From Kashmir to Yorkshire, was launched this year at Bradford Literature Festival via Yaffle Press. She hosts Bradford Writes, which platforms regional published writers and she is responsible for organising the first public Pahari Mushaira in Britain through Intercultured Festival. She has featured on Word of Mouth with Michael Rosen on Radio 4 and her project The Pahari-Pothwari Literature Project delivered two new bilingual anthologies for City of Culture Bradford 2025. She has been the Travelling Poet for Word Up North this summer.

Qaiser Khan is a Tabla player of Punjab Gharana with over 20 years experience of accompanying vocalists & musicians across a range of genres including Folk, Ghazal, Qawaali and Classical. He also performs as solo vocalist singing a range of popular South Asian songs.

Kauser Mukhtar is a poet, lyricist & theatre maker, who loves to sing. Passionate about her language, heritage and culture and sharing it with all who meet her.
