Installation of layers of sound collage, storytelling and painted works reflecting on memories of the artist’s childhood, growing up on Bradford housing estate in the 1980s and beyond.
Rooted in the intersection of personal narrative, spirituality, and the liminal space between pain and healing, Sarah Lin’s work emerges as a deeply introspective exploration of trauma and transcendence. Self-taught and shaped by a lifetime of chronic illness, Sarah Lin’s paintings often serve as portals into unseen realms, where the physical and metaphysical meet.
Her process is one of surrender and transformation. In moments of physical pain, she enters a state of lucid meditation, allowing her brush to become a channel for the energies of the unseen. “When I paint, I am both witnessing and participating in the flow of universal energy, tracing its passage through time, space, and body,” Sarah Lin says of her practice.
