Oil and enamel on board
I explore my northern, working-class identity and reflect on how people relate to nature within post-industrial landscapes. Growing up on a housing estate in Bradford, I experienced both the constraints of a built environment and the weight of social pressures. The oak canvas serves as a symbol of our natural selves, our connection to the environment, and the imprint we leave upon it.
