Kennedy Drake's A Land of Austerity, With Hope for Prosperity (2023) was created to mark the history of working-class stories. The oil painted scene of Bradford was inspired by Walter Crane’s A Garland for May Day (1895) where Crane illustrated the power of nature and working-class lives living in unity.
